Lunch Bunch

What Is Lunch Bunch?

Lunch Bunch is a voluntary social skills group that takes place once a week during a student's regular lunch time. The group consists of a small number of students in the same grade level who want to socialize and interact with their peers. Lunch Bunch helps students improve their interpersonal, friendship, and coping skills. Many students enjoy this group as it is held in a small, quiet setting.

The school adjustment counselors, Ms. Land, Mrs. McMahon, and Ms. Rountree, offer all students in Grades 1 - 5 the opportunity to sign up for Lunch Bunch.  In order to allow as many students as possible to participate, groups run for approximately six weeks. Permission slips must be signed by a parent or guardian so the student can participate.

During Lunch Bunch, students eat their lunch, play board games, engage in role-playing, and have seasonal parties! It is a great way to make friends, maintain positive peer relationships, and have some fun.
