Sick Dismissal Policy

Sick and injured students will be assessed by the school nurse. The nurse will assume responsibility for determining whether the child should be sent home because of an illness or injury.

If the determination is made that a student needs to be dismissed from school, the nurse will contact the parents or emergency contacts. It is the expectation that parents will comply with nurse recommendations. Parents should make every effort to pick up a sick child within thirty minutes.
